Mixtape dropping Aug 10th!!! Par-City has been doing media runs gearing up for the release of their next project "Back 2 the Basement". Earlier this month Par-City got the chance to record an interview with the infamous Ms. Drama. IMO one of the best interviews we've done to date. Sadly no footage but the show can be listened to at the link right HERE.

Revenge is Coming....

Here's the cover art for Par-City's upcoming project "Fueled By Revenge" coming this Jan.

NEW VIDEO: Jay-Z Ft. Kanye West & Rihanna - Run This Town

I was digging this video because it sorta reminded me of the "Bad Boy Era" of music videos where the video felt more like a piece of cinema than just a visual aid to a song.

Inspiration for Jay's "The Blueprint 3" Album Cover?

I found this pretty dope

Secret Machines "Now Here is Nowhere"

+

U2 "No Line on The Horizon"

+

Kanye West "808s and Heartbreak"
=

Jay-Z "The Blueprint 3"

I dont know if this was intentional or not, but pretty cool nonetheless taking bits and pieces from other places.

Wu-Lego

This is DOPE AS FUCK!!!

Wu-Tang Lego: Killer Tape from davo on Vimeo.

Mystery of Chessboxing is one of my favorite cuts off the first album. But yo can we get one of these for "Torture"

NEW VIDEO: Kid CuDi Ft. Kanye West, Common - Make Her Say

Kid Cudi MTV Music

I like the way this video was shot, but i have a question. Since this is the second video Kanye has directed within the last month or two (the other being Drake's "Best I Ever Had"), and seeing peoples reactions to that one im curious what people think about this one. Leave a comment and lemme know.

NEW VIDED: Slaughterhouse - One

By far my favorite rap group (besides Par-City of course)...be sure to cop the album when it drops on August 11th

Skyywalker Note: Joey must really have a thing for that KRS sample...

NEW VIDEO: 50 Cent - Ok, You're Right

This video is uhhh, different. I like the visuals, cant say i really understand the whole clown concept.

REVIEW: Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen (Movie)

So I caught Transformers over the weekend and I gotta say I really enjoyed it.

A lot of people have been complaining that this one wasn’t as good as the first because there was entirely too much going on in the film and some of the plot gets “lost”. Another complaint that ive been reading a lot on the internets is that was too much, “potty humor” in the movie.

Now that’s were a differ, I guess I can see why Transformers purist would be upset, but im a sucker for “stupid comedy” I find it hilarious. Take the twin bots and the controversy behind them. Did I notice that they were ‘black”, couldn’t read, spoke in slang, had a gold tooth, etc….. Yes, yes I did. But I gotta say I still found them funny, sad on my part? Maybe.

Overall, is it a story-telling masterpiece, far from it. But it IS a great action movies and a terrific way to kick off the summer.

TRAILER: 2012

The CGI in this film looks pretty sick.

VIDEO: One Night To Live

One Night To Live/I Wonder HD from Melrose Gold on Vimeo.

In case you arent familar with Melrose Gold...he's know for doing extremely dope shit like this. This was captured (yes the entire video is pictures) 9/11 last year.

Review: Terminator Salvation (Movie)

So i caught the new Terminator movie the other day and i gotta say it was....ehhhhh.

Lemme explain where im coming from though. I've never really been a fan of the whole fanchise (In fact the only one i remember seeing was 2) so I kinda felt like I was on the outside looking in as far as the backstory and what exactly is suppose to be going on.

Once i got pass that it was pretty enjoyable. The action scenes are great and what you would expect from a big summer movie. I was amazed at some of the bigger machines, and they just made me more amped for when Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen drops (The first was MY SHIT)

The best moment of the film was abit of an unexpected cameo. (SPOILERS!!!!)

(Skip ahead to about 4:12 and excuse the poor quality, this was the only i can find)

Overall it was a decent movie, if you're a fan of the fanchise you're sure to enjoy it way more than other who aren't that into it.
